County customs differ, and we plan for it
Who pays for the owner’s title policy depends on local custom and, ultimately, on your contract. In Miami-Dade and Broward the buyer customarily pays; in much of the rest of Florida, including Palm Beach County, the seller customarily does. Documentary Stamps on deeds are $0.70 per $100 statewide, with Miami-Dade using its own rate. We confirm these items on day one so your quote and settlement statement match your deal.
